Sri Lanka’s larger than life music legend Sunil Perera dies at 68

Sunil Perera, one of the stalwarts of Sri Lanka’s baila genre has died  aged 68.

He is believed to have died of Covid-related complications.

His songs have pulled people on to dance floors at weddings and parties for decades.

Tributes have been pouring in for the singer on social media.

Also, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding who had breast cancer has died at the age of 39

Harding revealed in August 2020 that she had been diagnosed with the disease, which had spread to other parts of her body.
