The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has begged President Muhammadu Buhari to forgive Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho.
The Department of State Services had earlier raided the Ibadan residence of the activist last week during which two persons were killed and others arrested.
The monarch’s intervention came one week after the Department of State Services (DSS) raided the residence of Igboho and subsequently declared him wanted.
Reacting to these, the Oluwo, in his letter titled, ‘Igboho Saga: Oluwo Intervenes, Writes Buhari,’ advised the President to slow down the security trail on Igboho.
The monarch, in the letter signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, stated that he will bring Igboho for a peace talk at the appropriate time.
Oluwo, who added that Nigerians have seen the might of government when it is ready to tackle any crime, commended the President for his determination to checking banditry and other criminalities across the country.
