Written by on September 7, 2021

A former deputy governor of the central bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Obadiah Mailafia, says Nigeria under the current leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is more insecure than it was during the administrations of former heads of state.
Mailafia, who made the statement while speaking on The Crest Breakfast Show, CBS, on Monday, argued that the nation during the era of former heads of state, was way better than the insecurity confronting Nigerians in the present administration.
Speaking on the Nation’s economy, the economist stated that the growth in this sector is at a slow pace.
He lamented the fact that the economic growth of the nation does not tally with the population boom, describing the situation as negative.
The former presidential aspirant however appealed to the federal government to harmonise and coordinate various agencies and suggestions being proffered in addressing the country’s economy.
