Breaking: Zamfara imposes curfew on entire state, shuts all schools over insecurity.

Zamfara state government has imposed curfew on the entire state, saying no movement from 6pm to 6am on the 13 Local Government Areas, and 8pm to 6am in the State Capital.

The government also ahutdown all schools in the state with immediate effect.

Commissioner of Police CP Ayuba Elkana announced this at the Police Headquarters during a press briefing.

He said the measures were to tackle the resurgence of security challenges bedeviling the State.

Reports from Maradun Local Government Area say, suspected bandits have today (Wednesday) at about 11am abducted unspecified number of students in government Secondary School, Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area.

The bandits were said to have also launched an attack on Gurbin Bore Village, but the CP was silent about the abduction and the attack.
